PRP-THERAPY FOR FACE

PRP-THERAPY FOR FACE

What Is PRP?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, which is a naturally occurring component of human blood.

PRP therapy benefits from the contribution of platelets, which play a key role in blood clotting as well as tissue repair and healing. Platelets contain growth factors that are essential for the regeneration of damaged tissues. When tissue damage occurs, platelets accumulate in the affected area and initiate the healing process. The aim of PRP treatment is to deliver a higher concentration of platelets to the target tissue than can be achieved through normal blood circulation.

PRP therapy has a wide range of applications, from wound healing to preventing hair loss, and is also effectively used as a skin rejuvenation treatment.

How Is PRP Used in Skin Treatments?

Facial PRP treatment begins with the centrifugation of blood drawn from the patient to separate the plasma rich in platelets and growth factors. Plasma is the liquid component of blood composed of water and proteins, allowing red and white blood cells to circulate. It contains growth factors that promote intensive tissue regeneration, repair, and increased blood flow.

Platelets are a blood component essential for clotting and also play a significant role in healing. The biochemical components of PRP stimulate collagen production, creating a rejuvenating effect when injected into the skin.

PRP treatment is applied through injections into the skin. The procedure supports wound healing, reduces wrinkles and acne scars, and promotes skin regeneration. A key factor in PRP therapy is injecting the plasma immediately after preparation without delay.

How Many PRP Sessions Are Needed for Visible Results?

PRP treatment is usually performed in 3 sessions at one-month intervals. Depending on the condition of the skin, maintenance treatment may continue with a single session after 6 months. Patients experience smoother and more radiant skin starting from the first session. When applied regularly, significant results are achieved after three sessions.

Which Areas Can Be Treated with PRP?

PRP skin therapy can be used to treat all types of wrinkles, sagging, and fine lines on the face. It is particularly effective for fine lines around the lips. PRP treatment is not limited to the face and can also be applied to the neck, décolleté, hands, and scalp.
